Death Boogie. That’s the term that the guys in Tight Phantomz use to describe their sound.
I’m not sure how to describe that in words, so you’re going to have to listen in. I will say, it’s a little grungy, a little funky, and a little haunting, all at the same time. The double disc release from Tight Phantomz, “Silk Prison”, is nearly an hour and a half of music that ranges from “what the hell was that?” to “oh my god, that was amazing”. There is a definite commitment here to the emotional feel and structure of both albums that is not always heard in such a long release. This is another release on the Forge Again Records label and can be purchased on their bandcamp page.
